For those of you who enjoy watching drama and theatrical productions, DUCTAC is bringing in a theatrical treat this Eid Al Adha. Following an award-winning run at the 2014 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Dubai Community Theatre and Arts Centre (DUCTAC) and “Eid in Dubai” present Arabian Nights. A dynamic, contemporary re-telling of the One Thousand and One Arabian Nights, ancient and enduring stories of the Islamic Golden Age, the production is engaging and suitable for all the family. The show will form part of an eclectic weekend of Eid in Dubai-Eid Al Adha celebrations and you can see it twice daily (24th – 26th September, at 11am and 3pm) on the Centrepoint Theatre Stage, DUCTAC, Mall of the Emirates.

Dubai Marina Mall celebrates Eid Al Adha with the popular Bubblez & Balloonz from 23rd – 27th September. Be mesmerized by “POP Comedy Stars” in the World of Bubbles and Balloons featuring Mike Dada, POP The Balloon Man and Patrick Mc Cullagh. The Mega Bubble Show starts at 2:30pm, 5pm and 7:40pm daily. The production is conceived, produced and performed by British-based Story Pocket Theatre – an innovative new theatre troupe under the patronage of Children’s Laureate and writer of War Horse Michael Morpurgo. This modern take has roots in tales drawn from ancient and medieval folklore and literature; tales brought to life once again through dance, puppetry and drama.
An Eid in Dubai 2015 official event, the whole family can expect to witness the best of international family theatre without the air fare, and a celebratory day out to remember. Your family will meet Sheherazade, the greatest storyteller of them all. She’ll regale you with a feast of adventures and fantasies, involving genies, villains, heroes and princesses. Witness Ali Baba’s encounter with the 40 thieves along with Aladdin and his lamp, the Little Beggar and the Fisherman and the Genie. Be transported to a wonderful world of mysterious marvels with music, madcap comedy, puppetry and theatrical magic.
