Dubai Cares invites you to Walk for Education

Access to quality basic education is the need and right of every child, yet there are millions of children around the world who have never been to a primary school. Dubai Cares, a UAE-based philanthropic organization launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has been striving hard since its inception in 2007, to improve children’s access to quality primary education in developing countries.

In collaboration with major organizations such as The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Care International and the UNICEF, Dubai Cares implements integrated primary education programs in 35 countries and communities. Dubai Cares has been successfully organizing their annual event “Walk for education” the symbolic three kilometre walk that aims to highlight one of the challenges children face in acquiring quality education in developing countries where they have to walk an average of three kilometres every day in order to go to school.
