Summer Smoothies

5 Summer Smoothies your kids will love

Eating habits of kids may change quite dramatically when their bodies go through growth spurts. You might have noticed that your child is constantly hungry off late and raiding your pantry a little too often. Kids can get extra hungry because their body needs more energy to compensate for the rapid growth, but if they don’t watch what they’re eating, they risk becoming overweight. Most of the times, when kids get hungry, they reach out for snacks and easy to grab foods like ice-creams, cookies, chips and other carbohydrate and fat rich processed foods, which can add lots of unnecessary calories. So, what’s the best alternative? How can you fill their hungry tummies, yet give them something tasty, healthy, fresh?

The answer is – Smoothies! Encourage your kids to go for smoothies whenever they’re hungry between meals. Creamy and deliciously fruity, smoothies make for a great snack. Unlike fruit juices, they’re rich in fibre and packed with all the goodness of fruits, natural sugars and dairy protein. So anytime, your kids want to reach out for a sweet, sugary treat, satisfy their craving with a slushy and fruity smoothie! Here are 5 summer smoothies your kids will love.
